Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of LanderMixer — the open-source lead-research tool, this website, and any hosted services we may offer (together, “the Service”) — provided by SHAPE(“we”, “us”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

1. What LanderMixer is

LanderMixer turns a LinkedIn profile URL (or a CSV of URLs) into a structured JSON research dossier — person, company, competitors, commercials, and outreach angles — using AI research over public web sources. It ships as an open-source CLI and library that you run yourself with your own API keys.

2. The open-source software

The LanderMixer software is licensed under the MIT License, which governs your use of the code itself. When you run the tool, it calls the API providers you configure (Anthropic, optionally Proxycurl) directly with your own keys, under your own agreements with those providers — we are not a party to those calls, receive no data from them, and charge nothing for them.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Bulk-scrape LinkedIn or any other platform in violation of that platform's Terms of Service.
• Research individuals for harassment, stalking, discrimination, or any purpose other than legitimate business outreach.
• Send unsolicited bulk messaging that violates anti-spam law (CAN-SPAM, CASL, GDPR, etc.).
• Generate or distribute content that's defamatory, deceptive, or illegal.
• Interfere with the Service's infrastructure or attempt to access data you're not authorized to see.

You are the data controller for the dossiers you generate and store. You're responsible for ensuring your research and outreach are lawful in the jurisdictions involved (including GDPR obligations toward the people you research).

4. Content and intellectual property

The dossiers you generate are yours to use commercially. Information the tool surfaces comes from public sources and is provided for legitimate B2B research. We retain ownership of the LanderMixer brand, this website, and any hosted infrastructure; the open-source code is governed by its MIT license.

5. AI-generated content

Dossiers are produced by AI research over public web sources. Output can be incomplete, out of date, or wrong — every dossier carries its sources, a confidence level, and research notes, and estimates state their basis. You're responsible for verifying claims before acting on them. We do not warrant the factual accuracy of generated content.

6. Pricing

The open-source software is free. You pay your API providers directly for the usage your runs generate. If we offer hosted services in the future, their pricing and any additional terms will be presented before you use them.

7. Privacy and data

Our handling of personal data is described in our Privacy Policy. The short version: the CLI sends us nothing at all, this website uses cookieless analytics, and we never train AI models on your data.

8. Service availability

The open-source software is provided as-is under its MIT license. This website and any hosted services are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis; we may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice to affected users.

9. Warranty disclaimer and liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability in any 12-month period is capped at the fees you paid us during that period (for free usage: zero).

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be announced on this site before they take effect. Continued use after a change means acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SHAPE is established. Any dispute will be resolved in the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
